aboutJohnMarran

Energy Kinetics was founded by John Marran, a leader in heat transfer and energy efficiency.

System 2000® was designed in 1979 by John Marran in response to the need for more energy efficient and reliable heating systems and as part of a solution to the energy crisis of the 1970s. Mr. Marran, a professional engineer and graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, developed System 2000 while drawing upon several decades of practical experience in process equipment design and application, energy recovery systems, industrial heat transfer and energy conservation.

Through more than 40 years, Energy Kinetics has grown to become the nation’s leading manufacturer of innovative, high-efficiency heating and hot water systems. Our products are designed to meet the needs of today’s demanding business owners, homeowners, heating professionals, architects and engineers. Through the years, we have continued to expand our core philosophy of practical application of energy efficiency, which is especially important in today’s volatile and often high-priced fuel environment.

This corporate philosophy is focused on the manufacture of highly efficient heating products, and on bringing them to market through a network of heating professionals throughout the mid-Atlantic and northeastern United States and Alaska. Each of these dealers is highly trained in the installation of System 2000, Resolute™, Accel CS™, Ascent™ Combi and Ascent™ Plus Combi boilers, In addition, Energy Kinetics’ own territory managers and our team of knowledgeable customer service representatives are available to help with questions regarding our entire family of products. Remember, Energy Kinetics’ heating systems are bright yellow boilers that quietly cut fuel bills, while delivering nearly endless hot showers!

Quality, through and through: All Energy Kinetics’ heating systems’ products are built to exceed strict ASME standards.

Each boiler is inspected by our quality control department and also by independent ASME inspectors. Furthermore, each pressure vessel is hydrostatically tested (filled with pressurized water) using calibrated pressure gauges for a minimum of 48 hours, far exceeding all ASME requirements.

Energy Kinetics works within the strict standards and listing requirements from Underwriters Laboratories. The UL Mark is one of the most recognized, accepted and trusted symbols in the world. It means that a not-for-profit independent laboratory has tested our products, to assure that they meet specific safety requirements, and also conducts periodic checks of Energy Kinetics’ facilities. The UL seal of approval means System 2000, Resolute, Accel CS, Ascent Combi and Ascent Plus Combi meet the highest standards for quality. It’s your guarantee that the safety of our products is a premier priority.
